The French inflicted series casualties and the Allies had suffered 40% losses by the end of the game--four units ran off the board instead of holding their positions. Wellington managed to hold Quatre Bras at the end. It was great fun. Enjoyed your report and your nice layout. I did use smaller BUAs.Stanleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16803072187364272452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646158813249458546.post-24188726823666138302015-04-10T09:16:41.856+01:002015-04-10T09:16:41.856+01:00Excellent report. In my games the stream seemed to present a delay to the French giving time for the allies to arrive, but I also need to check timings. I'm also thinking that the Guard cavalry and dragoons also provide the French with a bit too much strength that they didn't seem to have (still checking this).

It will be interesting to see how you go playing this with the other rules.Sun of Yorkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07315805432481558574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646158813249458546.post-22527516998496622632015-04-07T09:34:47.693+01:002015-04-07T09:34:47.693+01:00I have only just discovered your excellent blog--p...I have only just discovered your excellent blog--pardon the poor pun. I particularly enjoyed this report of your solo game of Quatre Bras. I'm taking the liberty of posting a link to it on the Wargaming Waterloo 200 blog, which has been linking to bicentennial wargames from around the world, culminating in Waterloo this year.James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646158813249458546.post-15980798564796086922014-09-30T22:15:56.535+01:002014-09-30T22:15:56.535+01:00I've just discovered this blogspot - and I'...I've just discovered this blogspot - and I'm glad I have. I've also begun playing A of E with a friend, who acquired some years ago 15mm French and Russian figures. We've played two games, now, which I reviewed on my 'Archduke Piccolo' blogspot (http://www.archdukepiccolo.blogspot.com)

As I have a fairly extensive 25mm collection with which I develop and use my own rule sets, I don't 'do' 15mm myself, though I can see the attraction!

I enjoyed your AAR, and look forward to more.
Cheers,
IonArchduke Piccolohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15533325665451889661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646158813249458546.post-4280750451904177442014-09-29T22:40:02.239+01:002014-09-29T22:40:02.239+01:00Cheers Drew, thanks for commenting. It's in the plan, but it hasn't yet quite reached the top of my list.Tim Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10732672774177144572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2646158813249458546.post-10075395707682151712014-09-29T21:07:35.774+01:002014-09-29T21:07:35.774+01:00Nice battle report.
